An irregular signal can be converted into a pulse of duration determined by the switching thresholds of the door, through this configuration. Two of the 4011 NAND gates of the 4011 are used, and the input resistor, together with the “feedback” resistor, determines the triggering characteristics of the signal. It is a circuit recommended for shaping pulses obtained from sensors that can be quite irregular and that would excite logic inputs.
