This circuit is quite old, from 1964, but can still be mounted with BC558 transistors. The circuit is for high impedance headphones from 1k to 5k, and has the volume set in a potentiometer. Power can be supplied with 6 to 9 V voltages. R3 may need change for most modern transistors.
